Christine "Chris" Lee Apel

Christine “Chris” Lee Apel passed away on December 6, 2019 in Naperville. She was born on February 4, 1953 to James and Lois (nee Hassler) Curnock in Aurora.  She was married to the love of her life Martin “Marty” Apel on May 22, 1982 in Wheaton.

Chris was someone who was loved by everyone who met her. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister. Her crowning title was being the grammy of her grandson Beau Ridout.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Joan Apel Conners.

She leaves behind her husband Marty, her children; Jennifer (Kerry) Ridout and Jake Apel; and her grandson Beau Ridout.

In addition she leaves behind her second mother; Donna Curnock, her sisters Kathy (Herman) Kussro, Karin (Mark) Vilmin, Clarissa (Bill) Guralnick, Jolene (Nick Denning) Nork, her brothers; Phillip (Maxine) Nork and Tom (Debbie) Nork, her sister in law; Linda (Ben) Beaman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial visitation is scheduled for December 14, 2019 at 2:00PM - 5:00PM at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 S. Batavia Avenue, Batavia, IL.
