Obituary – Brian E. Scully

Brian Edward Scully: Born May 17, 1956 in Chicago Illinois, Died suddenly December 17, 2016 in St. Charles, Illinois.
Brian is survived by his mother Bette A. Scully and was proceeded in death by his father Edward J. Scully. Brian leaves behind his sister Laura L. (Scully) Grim and brother-in-law Dennis M. Grim. He was Uncle to; Kevin Grim, Kristin Grim and Heather (Grim) and Michael Bettini; Great Uncle to 11 (Kyle, Heidi (Chamula), Alex, Joey, Amber and Kelly Grim – Jonah Grim/Brown – Connor, Sophia, Chase and Cameron Bettini) and was the second cousin of Alice Sandberg.
Brian lived and loved the freedom that Motorcycles brought to his life. He traveled throughout North America including a one-time 9,000-mile tour as well as numerous visits to tours and rallies across the country. He built, bought and sold motorcycles and parts in Daytona Beach, Florida. Additionally, Brian was an accomplished hockey player and likely the biggest Blackhawks fan in Chicagoland (except when they played his beloved Detroit Redwings – he just couldn’t break that habit even after being here the last 6 years). Brian loved people and befriended all he touched. He was a good man.
A Memorial service will be held on December 30th at Yurs Funeral Home at 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174. A visitation will begin at 10:00 followed by the memorial service at 11:00. More information can be found at or you can call 630-584-0060.
