Elizabeth Ann Reinsdorff

Elizabeth Ann “Lizzy” (Pohl) Reinsdorff, 96, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2020 in Bloomingdale IL.  Lizzy was born on May 22, 1923 in West Chicago, IL., the daughter of George and Mary (nee. Theis) Pohl.  She was united in marriage to James L. Reinsdorff Sr.

She is survived by her children, Christine Reinsdorff, James (Melody) Reinsdorff Jr, and Gerald Reinsdorff, her granddaughter, Lisa (William) Grimsley and her great granddaughter, Abigail and many nieces and nephews.

Lizzy, as she was called by her family, is preceded in death by her husband James Reinsdorff Sr, her parents George and Mary (nee Theis) Pohl, her grandson Adam Reinsdorff, and her siblings, Ralph (Margie) Theis, Harold (Mary) Pohl, Loretta (Emil) Dumdie, Catherine (Ralph) Grommes, Eleanor Lowe, Mary Hankes and George Pohl Jr.

Lizzy was a longtime resident of Batavia and was a member of Holy Cross Church.  Having a special place in her heart for dogs, Lizzy supported the ASPCA and enjoyed the company of many beloved dogs throughout her lifetime.  Lizzy also enjoyed painting ceramic statues and gardening. Lizzy lived for her family and they were her pride and joy, especially her granddaughter, Lisa.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL, 60510. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM also at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Lizzy’s name may be made to your local animal shelter.
