Griffin Alexander Rex Corbitt July 12, 1999 - February 7, 2021

Griffin Alexander Rex Corbitt, 21, of Batavia passed away Sunday, February 7,2021. He was born July 12, 1999, in Geneva IL. The Son of Robin Alexander Corbitt and Sheila Marie Johnson.

He is survived by his loving parents, Sheila (Scott) Reeder and Robin (Melanie) Corbitt; his siblings Delaney Corbitt, Brian Reeder and Amanda Reeder; his maternal grandmother Marjorie Massick; his aunts and uncles, Laurie (Mark) Lundin, Michael Johnson, Stacy Horvath, Tyler Corbitt, Mary (Kerwin) Johnson and many cousins, along with the love of his life and fiancée, Rebecca Lang.

Griffin was a sweet soul with an amazing ability to make everyone laugh and smile. His friends and family appreciated and loved his ability to truly listen when he was needed, No matter what was going on in his own life. He always lended a shoulder for someone to cry on, all while being respectful and understanding of other’s opinions and feelings.

Those that met him, even for a moment, knew of his love and need to express himself. It was always with vividness and without hesitation, no matter how loudly he had to say it to the world. He was incredibly smart, and with a sense of humor that could make a room burst with laughter. Most of all, he had the biggest and most loving heart for everyone and everything around him.

Griffin will be remembered for his kindness he extended both graciously, bountifully, and unquestioningly to everyone who came to know him without hesitation. He will be remembered for the light he has brought to everyone’s world, whether big or small.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Wayne Johnson, his paternal grandparents, Rex and Judie Corbitt and uncle, Timothy Corbitt.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL.

Griffin’s favorite color was purple. The family asks that everyone attending would wear bright, happy colors to celebrate his life.

Due to COVID-19 occupancy restrictions, funeral services will be held in private. He will be laid to rest in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
