Jacqueline Wall

Jacqueline Wall November 8, 1989 - December 5, 2021

Jacqueline ”Jackie” Vanessa Wall, 32, of Batavia, Il., passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, Il.  Jacqueline was born on November 8, 1989, in Chicago, IL., the daughter of Larry and Connie (nee. Myers) Wall.

Jackie got off to life with a tough start.  Born at just 968 grams, her small, flawed body could barely contain her energy and passion.  Doctors were sure she would not walk, talk, and would go through life passively.  This was the start of her lifelong habit of proving people wrong.

She grew and flourished, completing high school, going on to adult vocational training, and living independently.  She was a loving daughter, sassy sister, doting aunt, and loyal friend.  She grew to be an entrepreneur, artist, general schemer, and unofficial social life organizer and therapist.

One area where her spirit shone brightly was her love for her service dogs.  She was blessed with two faithful companions: first Koloa and most recently Fabian.  She cared for them deeply, would explain their purpose and quirks to anyone and everyone, and passionately advocated for the importance of service dogs and the need for public awareness of their role.

Her spark radiated to the end.  Her struggles with her body, extended hospital stays, COVID-19, 7 surgeries, and countless setbacks and disappointments could not extinguish her spirit.  She continued to be delightful, charming her doctors and nurses, adoring her nephews and niece,  snuggling her dog, and speaking her mind.  "People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house." Matthew 5:15

Jacqueline is survived by her parents, Larry and Connie Wall; her two siblings, Aaron (Rayna Hetlage) Wall and Michael (Alma) Wall; her niece, Eden O’Connell; her three nephews, Huxley, Clive and Foster Wall; her maternal grandfather, Charles “Lindy” Myers; her biological mother; Punita Ellis; and her biological grandmother, Catherine Walker; her faithful service dog, Fabian the 5th; she will be missed of all her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Irvin and Amanda Wall; her maternal grandmother, Lola Myers, and her biological brother, David Ellis.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Batavia Covenant Church, 1314 Main St, Batavia, IL 60510. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. also at the church. Interment will be held privately.
