Jeanne A. Donahue

Jeanne A. Donahue, age 91, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in her home.  She was born October 18, 1930, in Aurora Illinois, the daughter of Bertram P. and Alma L. (nee Staiv) Burkel.

Jeanne was a 1948 East aurora High School graduate and attended Aurora College.  She was a nature lover, an avid bird watcher, and wordsmith.  She was a long-time former member of the Geneva Lutheran Church, where she was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. Jeanne was also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. (Kenneth Fuchs) Donahue; daughter-in-law Carol A. Donahue; five grandchildren, Kyle Fuchs, Kelsey Fuchs, Matt Fuchs, Robert M. (Maura) Donahue and Allison E. (Liam Cofell-Dwyer) Donahue and great granddaughter Reese Lily Donahue.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael J. Donahue, and her daughter Peggy L. Best.

In honor of Jeanne’s wishes there will not be any visitation or funeral services.
