Bernice Kay “Webb” Ott (Norup), age 74, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. Bernice was born on May 25, 1942, in Burbank California. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School and most recently resided at Presence Pine View Care Center in St. Charles. Bernice had a strong faith in Jesus Christ encouraged by her parents, Kernel and Ruth Norup, both ordained Foursquare Ministers (now deceased.). As a child she traveled throughout the country with her parents starting new Foursquare churches.
Bernice was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was always ready with a joyous smile when anyone stopped in for a visit. She had a great love of animals, adventures, and music. She spent many heartfelt hours praying for her family.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Ott, grandson Jake Edward Webb, and her parents, Kernel and Ruth Norup. She is survived by her sons Jim (Sue) Webb, Lance (Karen) Webb, daughter Elyece (Mark) Miller Hurley, grandchildren Scotty, Eric, and Marisa Miller, Amy (Ryan) Webb Marek and Nick (Courtney) Webb, and Kayla Webb, and great grandchildren Claudie-Marie and Spike Miller, Harper Marek, and Myles and Brooks Webb.
The family will hold a private service in St. Charles officiated by the Reverend Dennis Campbell from Foursquare Gospel Church. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Presence Pine View Care Center, Delnor (Northwestern Medicine) Hospital and Hospice.
