Joseph Walter Behles

Joseph Walter Behles, 89, of North Aurora, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. He was born January 30, 1932, in Chicago the son of Walter J. and Lillian A. (Gothberg) Behles. He was united in marriage to Mabel Blakely August 30, 1957, in Altamont, IL.

Joseph owned and operated Fox Valley Door in South Elgin for many years. Joe was also a talented carpenter who had a successful and fulfilled career.

He is survived by his wife Mabel; seven children, William Behles, Susan (John) Aquino, James Behles, Donna (John) Schoen, Richard (Ellen) Behles, Forrest (Stacy) Behles, and Robert (Sharon) Behles; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Patricia Mitchell, and Carol Meyer, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Arlene Riley, Donald Behles, and Marilyn Greven.

All services were held private.
