Laurie Jo Krahenbuhl
November 9, 1954 - August 17, 2022 Laurie Krahenbuhl, 67, of Batavia passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born November 9, 1954, in Geneva, IL the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Elliott) Lompart. She was united in marriage to Robert Krahenbuhl March 24, 1979, at the Congregational Church in Batavia. Laurie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking trips with her husband or spending quality time in Wisconsin Dells. Laurie loved to keep family traditions going. She blended her Swedish and Polish heritage by making and passing down family recipes. She loved celebrating and decorating for holidays. Gameshows were a way of life and a simple way to relax for Laurie. Laurie had a wonderful and rewarding career. She worked as a consultant for Arthur Anderson, which later became known as Accenture for more than 30 years. Laurie was a dedicated worker and valued her coworkers greatly. She is survived by her husband, Robert Krahenbuhl, two children, Katie (Josh) Carlino and Kyle Krahenbuhl, two stepchildren, Beth (Michael) Harrell, and Steve Krahenbuhl; two grandchildren, Ava and Isla Carlino; two brothers, Greg (Carol) Lompart and Larry Lompart; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Karen Mancuso. Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. A funeral will follow the visitation at 12:00 noon. A private committal service will be held at East Batavia Cemetery in Batavia on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice. |
