Peg Kallstrom, nee Clark, 94 of Batavia, Illinois passed away on March 4, 2017 peacefully in her sleep.
She was born on October 15, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles G. Clark Jr. and Hazel (Brand) Clark. She graduated from Shaker heights HS and attended Purdue University majoring in Home Economics. While attending Purdue she met Charles E. Kallstrom. They were married July 3, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Peg was a stay at home mom and went back to school to complete her degree in education at Chicago State University. She began her teaching career in the Chicago Public School District at Hubbard H.S. and also worked at Bogan and Bowan High Schools. She retired from teaching in December of 1978 and moved to Sun City, Arizona with her husband. Upon retiring to Sun City, AZ. She was an avid knitter, seamstress and gardener. She loved swimming, traveling and playing golf. She was active in her local churches in both Palos Park, IL. and Sun City, AZ.
She was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Kallstrom. Devoted mother of Charles C. Kallstrom (Roberta), Karen A. Jenkin (Barry), Kathe J. Foley, and Thoms F. Kallstrom . Cherished grandmother of Cynthia A. Turriff (Bill), Heidi L. Chambers (Justin), Karen K Martin (Andy), Patrick M. Foley (Joanna), Kristin A. Cutshall (Kent), Janet A. Imp (Adam), Julie H. Maldandro (Jason), Kimberly J. Munoz (Justin). Caring great grandmother of Courtney Turriff, Allison Turriff, Katie Martin, Charles Martin, Tommy Martin, Ryan Cutshall, Teagan Cutshall, Maggie Foley, Jack Foley, Colin Foley, Luke Imp, Mattew Imp, Mason Malandro, Megan Malandro and Jack Munoz, and sister Lois (Clark) Wolfenden, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, April 15th from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church 227 East Side Drive Geneva. Memorial Services will follow at 12:00 PM.
