Michael Peter Sengel

Michael Peter Sengel, 70, of Wheaton, IL passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL.  Michael was born October 2, 1949 in Chicago, the son of John and Berenice (Buerstetta) Sengel.  Michael retired from VW Credit.  Following retirement Michael spent his days researching economic matters, hanging out with his son’s dog “Reggie” or soaking up everything life had to offer. In his earlier days, he enjoyed coaching his children’s sports teams.  He was passionate about cars and motorcycles, and could fix any problem his family ever had with their vehicles. He loved going to the range with his daughter, debating life with his son, and enjoying nice weather on the deck he built, and then rebuilt himself. He will be remembered as having a zest for life and being the ultimate protector for his kids.

Michael is survived by his two children, Jen (Randy) Brown and Joe Sengel; two grandchildren, Jackson and Anthony Tonkovich.  

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jill Sengel.
