OBITUARY


Miles C. Burns, age 90, of Batavia formerly Campton Hills died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Holmstad in Batavia.

He was born October 30, 1926 in Chicago.

Miles was a veteran serving in the US Air force and was member of the St. Charles Senior Club. He was a avid Bridge player and loved Golf.

He had a long career in the meat industry beginning in 1949 as a salesman for Swift and Company. When he retired in the early 90’s he was a Regional Vice President at ConAgra.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Robert) Casey of Glen Ellyn. His grandchildren, Susan Burns, Theresa Wymore, David Burns, Michael Burns, Callum Casey, Caroline Casey. Great Grandchildren, Jessica Czarnowski, Ian Wymore, Andre Wachernagel, Anna Burns and Matthew Burns. Also his sister, Lois Tillman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Burns. Also by his first wife Lee Burns. and a son, Norman R. Burns.

Visitation will be held Thursday March 16th from 4 to 8:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 17th at 12:00 P.M. at St. Patrick Crane Road Church St. Charles. Burial will be at West Side Cemetery Geneva. Donations may be made to that American Diabetes Association 30 North Michigan Ave suite 2015 Chicago, Il. 60602
