Leo A. Mills

Leo A. Mills, 73, passed away after a struggle with the COVID-19 in Elgin on June 5, 2020. He was born on May 11, 1947 in Dubuque, IA to Louis and Jeanette (nee Clark) Mills. As a young boy his family moved to Chicago, where he spent most of his life. He married the love of his life, Carol Kaszniak, on September 25, 1971 in Chicago.

Leo was a loyal and dedicated employee of Novak and Parker in Mt. Prospect for 56 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and fishing with the grandchildren. He cherished being able to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Above all Leo was a loving and caring individual who had a great sense of humor. He always knew want to do in any crisis and leaves an unbearable loss for everyone he knew and loved.

Leo leaves behind his wife Carol, his daughter Jennifer (Shawn) Kelly, and three grandchildren; Liam 17, Keira 13, and Sawyer 10. He also leaves his brother Louis (Laura) Mills, Louise Mills, Laura (AJ) Jackson; dear brother in law to Lyn and Al Sabatino & Rick (Maria) Lantini.  Additionally, he leaves an aunt, Linda Clark. He was a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

To all our friends and family, due to the current environment and state of the world with strict rules and regulations we regret that we are unable to gather in large groups to celebrate the life in the memory of Leo. Our family has wonderful loving memories of Leo please take a moment to reflect on his life and rejoice in his memory. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
