Reed Lawson

March 16, 1953 - July 8, 2021

Reed Lawson, 68, of Geneva passed away peacefully July 08, 2021, at Northwestern Hospital after a long struggle with cancer. Reed was born and raised on a farm in Kaneville, IL. He was a graduate of Kaneland High School. Reed was a farmer, heavy equipment operator and worked for the City of St. Charles for 33 years.

In retirement Reed enjoyed gardening, his animals and especially time with his great granddaughter. Reed was humble, thoughtful and a friend to all. He was a wonderful listener, kind soul and loved to share jokes. Reed will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Reed is survived by his three children, Matthew Lawson (Denver, Colorado), Julie Lawson (Geneva, IL) and Shayla Lawson (Skokie, IL), grandchildren Grace Keyl and Tirza Wehrle, and one great grandchild Delaney Wehrle, his sisters Lynn (Bruce) Gulick, Lauren (Del Calhoun) Lawson, brothers Phillip (Judy) Lawson, Robin (Kathleen) Lawson and Steven (Pheraba) Lawson as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Lyle and Ruth Lawson.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third Street, St. Charles, Il. 60174. Interment will be private.
