Richard James Wenzel

Richard James Wenzel, 87, of Geneva, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021.

Born January 31, 1934 in Cadott, Wisconsin, he was the oldest sone of Fredrick and Bernice Wenzel.

He is survived by his siblings Marvin (Jean) Wenzel of Princeton WI, Cherry (James) King of Elgin IL, Jerald (Kumcha) Wenzel of Oswego IL. Four children, Craig Richards (Kathy) of Lacrosse, WI., Melissa Henry (Stephen) of Elgin IL, Tanya Wenzel of Plainfield IL and Jason Wenzel (Tina) of Baraboo WI.  Eleven grandchildren; Casey, Aubrey, Trever, Taylor, Tayler, Tanner, Alexis, Hunter, Gabby, Skylar and Lexie. Seven great grandchildren; Kenadie, Bailey, Leighton, Talia, Tiana, Orrin and Wesley.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Bernice Wenzel, Two infant brothers; Loving wife Elizabeth Ann Wenzel; and son Christopher Richards.

Memorial service will be held at Moss Funeral Home, 100 S Third Street, St. Charles, IL 60174, from 11:00 am to 1pm on Thursday January 6 , 2022.  Burial will be at Blackberry Township Cemetery in Elburn, IL.
