Robert Michael Gemelli

Robert (Bob) Michael Gemelli, 87, of Campton Hills, IL passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, at his home.  He was born June 5, 1935, in Chicago, IL the son of Angelo and Sally (Hutman) Gemelli.  He was united in marriage to Theresa Hernandez for fifty-eight years.

Bob was raised in Chicago and was a graduate from St. Mel High School.  He would later serve in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He then attended Illinois Institute of Technology, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering.  Bob and his wife moved to St. Charles, where with the help of his brothers (Richard and Ron) and brother-in-law (Ralph Keenan), they built his family home in a rural area which is now Campton Hills where he currently lived.        

He is survived by his adored wife, Theresa; two sons, Michael (Marta) Gemelli and Robert Gemelli; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Neil) Berger, Dominic Rocco Gemelli and Marissa Gemelli; his siblings, Richard Gemelli, Betty Gemelli, and Rose Marie Keenan. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Donald and Ronald Gemelli. 

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 26, 2022, at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL. 

Funeral services will begin with prayers 9:45 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from Moss-Norris Funeral Home 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL before proceeding to St. Patrick Catholic Church 6N491 Crane Road St. Charles to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.  Entombment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery Elgin, IL.
