Scott Pritchett
April 21, 1962 - December 3, 2021
Scott Pritchett of Batavia, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2021, surrounded by his family at Central DuPage Hospital. He was 59. Scott was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on April 21, 1962, to Richard and Marilyn (Lingard) Pritchett. He was united into marriage to Jeanine M. Guffrea, on October 19, 1991, in Galena, IL. Scott was a devoted family man, a source of great wisdom, a bearer of endless patience, and the holder of a brain whose knowledge rivaled Google. In his short 59 years, he never declined the opportunity to go above and beyond for his family, friends, clients, or strangers in need. He was a pseudo baseball, soccer, and cross-country coach (there is a fine line between being a spectator and an active participant that Scott frequently crossed); a Boy Scout leader; an avid runner; a frequent attendee of his children’s concerts; and a proud architect. He received his Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in architecture from Iowa State University and his Master’s degree in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois. Scott has touched the lives of everyone who has met him and will be greatly missed by all. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jeanine; four children, Marissa, Jeanna (Sarah), Samuel, and Anna; parents Richard and Marilyn Pritchett; brother Steve Pritchett; nephew Steve Pritchett; father and mother-in-law Salvatore and Marianne Guffrea; sister-in-law Laura Recchia; and nieces Mia and Olivia Recchia. He was preceded in death by his brother Joel. Memorial visitation will be held January 8th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 PM at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S.
