Tina Louise Stoltz

Tina Louise Stoltz (nee Wells), 63, passed away on the evening of November 27, 2022. Tina was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 16, 1959, the first daughter of Norman and Regina (nee Laundy) Wells. She was married to William Jay Stoltz on December 18, 1976, in Lombard, IL.

Tina spent her childhood in Roeland Park, Kansas before moving to Oklahoma City in the eighth grade. She then moved to the west suburbs of Chicago (Wheaton and Bolingbrook) during high school, graduating from Glenbard South High School in 1976. She worked as a waitress while her children were young before a decades-long career in office management, working for Pampered Chef, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and the Barrington Square Animal Hospital.

Tina loved animals and was a PETA member, as well as a vegetarian, in the 1990s. Her efforts to fool her son and husband with veggie burgers were legendary, but such was her love for all animals, particularly her favorite dog Pepper. She was a loving, devoted mother who provided never-ending support to her children. Being a grandmother to five grandchildren filled Tina with so much joy, she glowed in their presence, and she could never go more than a few days without video chatting with her “babies.” The love of her life was her husband Jay, with whom she spent more than 45 years in marriage.

She is survived by her loving husband Jay; two children, Jeremy (Michelle) and Chas (Brian); five grandchildren, Olivia, Jillian, Lyla, Ivy and Kyle; best friend Paula; sister Sharon; mother-in-law Joan; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Norman and Regina, her nephew Christopher, and her niece Megan.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. December 2, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, IL.
