William Anthony Tills

William “Tony” Tills, 59, formerly of Batavia passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at OSF, Saint Francis Medical Center, in Peoria, IL.  He was born June 8, 1962, in Elgin, IL the son of William and Helen (Peek) Tills.  He was united in marriage to Sue Hecht in 1990.    

William will be remembered for his unique personality who strived to live life by his own terms.  He loved all people, he never met a stranger and he embraced his true relationships with his friends.    

He is survived by his two children, Heather Marie Tills, and William “T.J” Tills, III, his mother Helen Tills; five sisters, Debbie (Tim) Covey, Bonnie Tills, Sherrie (Rick Spiedel) Tills, Hollie (Dan) Carey, and Vickie (Anton) Kirner; a brother, Eric Anderson; and his nieces and nephews, Emelie, Erick, Nicole “Spike”, Danny, Matt, Derek, and Josh. 

He is preceded in death by his father, William Anthony Tills, Sr. 

A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
