William Paul Laib

William “Bill” Paul Laib, 60, of Batavia passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Season Hospice in Naperville.  He was born June 24, 1960 the son of William Hodge and Suzanne Marie (nee Proteau) Laib.  He was united in marriage to Jean Koropsak July 16, 2005 in Florida.    

Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Spending time with his family and friends was important to Bill.  He was a fun-loving man who could make people laugh and feel good.  He worked hard and was employed in concrete construction most of his adult life.     

He is survived by his father, William H. (Valerie) Laib, of Batavia; a sister Julie (Michael) McGee of Naperville; his stepfather, John Mika; his step-daughters, Christine and Claire Foss; and two nieces, Jacqueline and Bridget McGee.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Mika, and his two beloved dogs Lucky and Harley. 

All services will be held private.  He will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Garden West Cemetery.
