Allen Janito

Allen Janito, age 72, of McHenry, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away into the arms of his Savior, Saturday, May 23, 2020.

He was born October 6, 1947, in Chicago, IL, to proud parents, Alex and Helen Janito.

Allen proudly served his community in Chicago as a police officer for 30 years, but also served with distinction alongside his brothers in arms in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his two children: Bryan (Becky) Janito and Kimberly (Kerry) Holmes; four grandchildren; one sister, Marcia (Mark) Dunne; several nieces, nephews and a family of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Helen Janito and one sister Alexis Janito.

Services will be held at a later date when all his friends and family can gather.
