Anthony Paul Tomasi

Anthony “Tony” Paul Tomasi, 79, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home in St. Charles, IL with his family by his side. He was born on January 21, 1941 to Sylvester and Antoinette (nee Chiaro) Tomasi in Chicago, IL. Anthony married his sweetheart Carol Karabin on September 2, 1962 at St. Salomea Catholic Church in Chicago.

Anthony served his country in the United States Navy. Then he worked as an air traffic controller for 33 years at the Chicago Air Route Traffic Control Center in Aurora, IL. At his St. Charles home of 43 years, Anthony and Carol raised their four children, welcomed new generations of grandchildren, and cared for numerous animals. With his horse Vandy, Anthony served as a member of the Kane County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol. Anthony also loved racing cars with his sons at Blackhawk Farms Raceway and Road America.

Anthony leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Carol, of St. Charles, IL and their four children: Tony (Regina) Tomasi of New Port Richey, FL; Michelle (Michael) Willman of St. Charles, IL; Reno (Rachel) Tomasi of Marengo, IL; and Brian (Carolyn) Tomasi of Elgin, IL. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Kevin (Maureen), Naomi (Tyler), Molly, Tony, Mitchell, Amanda, Jackson, Nicholas, and Lucy; three great-grandchildren: Xander, Michael, and Leo; his mother Antoinette; his sister Juliana Felts; and two nieces and a nephew: Sondra, Sherry, and Leslie.

He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester and granddaughter Ashley (Michael) DeLaney.
