Beau Brandon Carbonneau

Beau Brandon Carbonneau April 29, 1976 - June 23, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020, Beau Brandon Carbonneau, loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 44 years old.

As a skilled carpenter, craftsman and artist, Beau made our lives more beautiful. Those who were close to him probably live, or have lived, in a home that Beau helped renovate or remodel, or have furniture that he handcrafted specially for them. As an accomplished musician, Beau made our lives sound better, and he played and performed in several bands throughout his life.

Recently, Beau was passionately writing and recording music on his own and was always up for a jam session with his friends and family. Most importantly, through his deep passion for family and friends, Beau made our lives feel better. Whether it was a stranger at the hardware store, a family member, or a friend he knew for years, Beau had an uncanny way of making people feel at ease, and his personality would always lighten the mood or light up a room. Beau was known for his big heart and would do anything for those he cared about. He will be missed tremendously.

Beau is survived by his wife Jenny Rebholz, his parents Shelley and Steven Schmitt and Walter Carbonneau and Denise Kovic, his siblings Bart and Kim Carbonneau, Leah and David Sheridan, Tiffany Carbonneau and Brian Harper, Amy and Adam Compton, Kristina and Nick Petrocelli, and Ryan Carbonneau, his nieces and nephews Elijah, Keira, Jackson, Logan, Nicholas (Bear), and Lola, so many of his close friends that Beau considered family, and Jenny and Beau’s beloved dogs Stella and Dexter.

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Avenue Batavia, IL. An invitation only service will begin at 3:00 PM.

The family wishes that memorial donations be made to either the Garden Center Services, a multi-program agency serving adults with disabilities, or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research (links below). Beau’s grandmother was a founder of the Garden Center, and his Aunt Tina is a recipient of their services. Beau lived with type 1 diabetes for most of his adult life.

With the slow re-opening of business due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the visitation will be limited. All visitors entering the funeral home are required to wear a face covering.  Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visitation a brief one in order that all who would like to attend will have a change to do so.  Once you have exited the funeral home, we ask you to depart immediately so there are no gatherings outside of our facility.  The family appreciates your sincere cooperation during these very challenging and different times.  For additional clarification, please contact the funeral home or family directly.
