Carl majored in History and graduated from Valparaiso University’s Christ College Honors Program. His Christian faith was important to him throughout his life. He enjoyed teaching English as a second language to adults, working at the Aurora Public Library and the Museum of Science and Industry. He is survived by his brother Kenneth N. and sister-in-law Melanie, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl N. and Frances, sister Katherine Coyner and brother-in-law Karl Coyner. Funeral service and burial will be held at 11:00am, June 19th, 2026 at Chapel Hill Gardens West, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Reverend Steve Abend will be officiating.
