Corrine L. "Cookie" (Cardenaz) Kuzmicki October 29, 1958 ~ December 14, 2025 (age 67) 67 Years Old
Corrine L. "Cookie" Kuzmicki Obituary Corrine L. “Cookie” Kuzmicki, age 67, of Maple Park, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Bria of Geneva with her loving family by her side. She was born October 29, 1958, in Melrose Park, the daughter of Pedro and Rose (Kowalsky) Cardenaz.   Cookie was born and raised in Stone Park, Illinois, later in life she moved to Glendale Heights for a better life for her children. For 23 years, she worked at Unicare, where she became a cherished part of the team. Her coworkers will always remember her not only for her work ethic, but for her heart—her unwavering kindness and generosity made her a beloved figure in the workplace.   Cookie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud mother to her two daughters, Rose and Lori (Deloris), whom she loved with all her heart. As a grammie to her cherished grandson, Dylan, Cookie’s heart overflowed with love and pride. Her family was her world, and she devoted herself to making their lives brighter, with a smile that could light up any room.   In addition to her immediate family, Cookie had a special bond with her nieces and nephews. She was known for organizing gatherings, particularly on weekends, where she would host sleepovers that brought joy, laughter, and togetherness. These weekends were full of love, fun, and the kind of connection that Cookie made sure no one ever took for granted.   Cookie’s friends and family will always remember her as the kindest person they ever met. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel seen, loved, and valued. Her heart was as big as her smile, and her spirit contagious. Cookie never hesitated to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or a word of encouragement. Whether it was a thoughtful gesture, a warm word, or simply being there when you needed her, Cookie was the kind of person who made the world a better place just by being in it.   Cookie is survived by her daughters Rose Kuzmicki of DeKalb and Deloris (Eric) Davies of Maple Park, grandson Dylan Davies, siblings Pete (Holly) Cardenaz of Hampshire, Cynthia Princapta of Crystal Lake, and David Cardenaz of Melrose Park, her deeply beloved nieces and nephews and many other dear relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Martha Christopher.   A visitation for Cookie will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 1:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva.   Burial will be held privately.   In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to The American Diabetes Association in honor of Cookie.       Donations by mail: American Diabetes Association PO Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 2116-7023 To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Corrine L.
