Ann H. (Cunningham)  Burns August 28, 1940 ~ May 3, 2022 (age 81)
Obituary Ann H. Burns, age 81, of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born August 28, 1940, in Freeport, the daughter of William and Florence (Jackson) Cunningham.  Ann moved to Geneva, Illinois in 1974 and immediately invested her time, talent and treasure by volunteering for the betterment of the schools, park district and city.  Ann and her husband, John, helped on school and park district referenda and co-founded the Geneva Vikings All Sports Boosters Club as well as serving on Geneva High School’s Prom and Post Prom Committee.  Ann served on the City of Geneva’s Planning Commission and was a candidate for the City Council.    Ann’s professional career included executive administrative service with the Dick Lewis State Farm Insurance Agency in Geneva and Charles Kallstrom DDS in Geneva.  After retirement, Ann served as a volunteer at Northwestern Medicine’s Delnor Community Hospital.   She is survived by her children John (Autumn) of Colorado, Brian (Trish), Kevin (Aimee), and Colleen (Douglas) Cuscaden all of Geneva; grandchildren Liam, Aidan, Anna, Renner, and Florence Burns, Molly (Andy) Kobler, Emma (Marc) Farmer, Grace (Aaron) White; and Theodore, Patrick, and Bennett Cuscaden; great-grandchildren Micah, Bosco, and Murphy White; siblings Mary Kessler, Pat Cunningham, Tim (Patty) Cunningham, and Kathy (Barry) Sammons; and many other dear relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband John who passed away in 2019.  A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at The Herrington Inn & Spa’s Pump House Room from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10th.   In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ann Burns honor to Geneva Vikings All Sports Booster Club – the organization Ann and John Burns co-founded – by clicking on the link:  https://genevasportsbooster.com or sending a contribution to Geneva Community High School Athletics Department, 416 McKinley Avenue, Geneva, Illinois 60134  For information 630-232-8233 or malonefh.com.
