Daniel G. Delaney

Daniel G. Delaney found his peace on December 18, 2024. Outside of his awful taste in music (Phish), Dan was a loving, kind, and thoughtful man. He was a true sports fan who loved the Cubs and Sox depending on the year, was frustrated by the Bears, and was forever a Geneva Vikings fan. Danny was always a champion of people doing good things, great or small, whether athletic achievements, the sharing of humorous stories, simple acts of kindness, or treating animals with love. Danny loved and cherished time with his love, his nieces and nephews Delaney, CC, Bob, and Nick and was so proud of and awed by their successes and accomplishments. Danny will be missed. He was preceded in death by his mother Jerrie Hicks and his father Dan Delaney, Sr. He is survived by his sisters Kate Ritter and Colleen Delaney, and his brother Tom Delaney.  Please celebrate Dan’s life with a story over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.  A memorial gathering for Dan will take place Friday, January 3, from 3 to 7pm, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E.
