DAVID “DAVE” VIVOLI

Date of Birth

November 23, 1952

Date of Death

November 1, 2023

David “Dave” Vivoli, age 70, of Elburn, passed away surrounded by the love and prayers of his family on All Saints Day, and is now surrounded by those we celebrate on this day. He was born November 23, 1952, in Mount Clemens, MI, to proud parents, Joseph and Donna Vivoli. Dave grew up in Mount Clemens and attended local schools until the family moved to Illinois. He eventually graduated from West Aurora High School with the class of 1970. He and his friends were pranksters, although the statute of limitations has surely run out, we won’t share his many antics here. He continued his education at Southern Illinois University where he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Dave met the love of his life, Kristin Haiduck, through mutual friends, though it didn’t take long for something more than friendship to take root. The love that bloomed culminated at the altar on November 14, 1980, in Aurora. They began their new life together in Aurora for a short time before buying a home in Sugar Grove. In 1989, they settled farther north in Elburn where they could spread out and make more memories. Dave worked for TRW for a time, before moving to Stevens Adamson in Aurora. His longest tenure was to be in engineering sales before his retirement in 2017. Dave was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church and past member of the Tiger Athletic Association, the Sugar Grove Lions Club and enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army food pantry. He coached boys’ baseball in Elburn for many years, but he was truly happy when he took in 18 holes at Hughes Creek in Elburn but watching it on television was a close second. He was a loyal, though not a happy, Chicago Bears fan. Both Dave and Kristin loved to travel with destinations like Navarre Beach in the panhandle of Florida where they had a condo, California to see family and summer trips to Lake Tahoe. He now leaves his loving wife of 43 years, Kristin; two children: Amy (Paul) Leisher and their children, Evan and Ian, and Joseph (Katie Hall) Vivoli; his mother, Donna Vivoli; three siblings: Terri Vivoli, Daniel (Marianne) Vivoli, and Ronald (Alicia) Vivoli; two cousins: Debbie (Glen) Stark and Chris (Stan) Turkiewicz; many nieces, nephews and a family of friends. Dave is reunited with his father, Joseph Vivoli, who preceded him in death. Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023, from 4-7 p.m., at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL 60119. A Mass to celebrate his life and faith will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at St. Gall Catholic Church, 43W885 Hughes Rd, Elburn, IL 60119, at 11 a.m.. Interment will follow at Blackberry Twp. Cemetery, Elburn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army at https://give.salvationarmyusa.org or the Mercy Home For Boys and Girls at https://donate.mercyhome.org. Memories and tributes may be left on the Conley Funeral Home Facebook Page, or at www.conleycare.com.
