DAVID CLARENCE BEANE II

DAVID CLARENCE BEANE II

Date of Birth

July 1, 1994

Date of Death

September 11, 2022

David Clarence Beane II, age 28, of Big Rock, IL, passed away tragically on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

He was born July 1, 1994, in DeKalb Twp., to proud and loving parents, David Sr. and Jacqueline (Nickels) Beane.

David grew up in Big Rock, IL and attended local schools. He graduated from Marmion Military Academy with the class of 2013. David was a proud member of the Drill Team, football and LaCross teams as well as ROTC. With a work ethic second to none, David threw every nickel he had into purchasing his dream car, a bright red Chevy Corvette that carried him through his high school years.

David continued his education at Southern Illinois University where he was a founding member of the Three Gun shooting team who participated in rifle, shotgun, and pistol competitions. He enjoyed a busy social life, as well as, the quiet solitude and beauty of the Shawnee National Forest.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, David went into the construction industry, alongside his dad, as a project engineer in Chicago. After moving to Tampa, FL, in 2019, David continued to hone his work ethic as a foreman on a demolition crew for Kimmins Construction. Later, he became assistant project manager working on underground utilities throughout Tampa.  Other projects included the demolition of the Sky Bridge at Disney’s Epcot Center, site superintendent at MacDill Air Force Base, and project engineer for Wallbridge before returning home to Big Rock, IL in July of this year.

While living in Tampa David found friends from every walk of life while sitting pool side, enjoying cookouts, swimming, parties, and every concert that he could because live music spoke to his heart. He loved to be out on the water, fishing and boating.  Car shows brought him back to his Corvette youth and many memories were made on trips visiting his grandmother on Marco Island. He was avid gun collector and armorer whose passion also extended to edged blades, boasting a knife collection of which he was equally proud. David was a man of passion but had no greater passion than his love for his friends and family. He reveled in his recent homecoming to the “The Rock” and to his home on Lasher Road.

He is survived by his father, David Clarence Beane Sr., and mother, Jacqueline Nickels Beane; one sister, Ashley Beane; his maternal grandmother Merita Nickels; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a fantastic family of friends.

He now joins his paternal grandparents, Jay Richard and Diane Audrey Beane; his maternal grandfather, John L. Nickels and his aunt, Jalyn Lynch.

Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL.
