Born in the tropical beauty of Honolulu, Hawaii, Ed moved to Illinois as a child, where he earned his degree from Aurora University. He went on to establish a respected professional career at Clare Holdings, where his dedication and quiet reliability earned him the esteem of his colleagues. Ed was a man who appreciated the quiet rewards of a life well-lived. He was an avid gardener, finding his greatest peace while working in the earth and tending to his plants with a meticulous care that mirrored his character. When he wasn’t in his garden, Ed was often found behind the wheel of his Jeep. To him, the Jeep was more than just a vehicle; it was a symbol of freedom and his love for the open road. Above all, Ed was a steady and devoted presence for his family. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy; his sister, Cathy; his brother, Chris (Karen); and his beloved niece, Brookelyn, who held a truly special place in his life.
