February 25, 1932 - March 13, 2025

In Loving Memory of Frances Dolores Cantrell February 25, 1932 – March 13, 2025 Frances Dolores Cantrell, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend peacefully passed away in her home in Denton, Texas, on March 13, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on February 25, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank and Theresa Patitucci, Frances was one of nine children. Rooted in strong Italian heritage and deep Catholic faith, Frances carried herself with grace, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her. Her life was a beautiful testament to family, faith, and resilience. Frances was the heart of her family—a true matriarch whose presence lit every room she entered. She was married to the love of her life, Bill Cantrell, for 62 years. Their enduring partnership stood as a shining example of love and commitment. Throughout their marriage, Bill remained steadfast by her side, offering unwavering love and support. Their bond was a true testament to enduring devotion and partnership. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished traditions. She is survived by her beloved husband Bill, her precious son “Billy,” daughter-in-law Karen, and her adored grandchildren: Angelina Piazzisi Daughter of Mel, Ellie (Jimmy), Gage (Heather), and Jet; children of Billy and Karen. Frances was blessed to see her legacy continue through her great-grandchildren, Vincent (3) and Gage Jr. (1) born to Gage & Heather. She is also survived by her two cherished sisters, Dorothy and Maria, as well as her closest friend and Niece Terry. Frances is preceded into death by her parents, Frank and Theresa, her two sons, Carmelo “Mel” and Mark Vinci who were taken from her too soon, but their angel wings were waiting for her with open arms into the heavenly embrace of Jesus. Frances’s unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devout Catholic, she found strength and comfort in her relationship with God through all of life’s joys and trials. Even in her most painful moments, her devotion never faltered. Known for her incredible culinary talents, especially her traditional Italian dishes, Frances passed down many recipes, traditions, and memories lovingly to her family. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where laughter and love were always in abundance. She joyfully taught her daughter-in-law and grandchildren not just how to cook, but how to carry on family traditions. She also had a passion for water aerobics and fitness, often encouraging those around her to stay active and joyful through movement. Her love for nature, especially butterflies, reflected her gentle and inspiring spirit—reminding us all of the beauty of transformation and grace. Frances leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, fierce strength, and heartfelt compassion. Her memory will continue to guide and bless those who were lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A celebration of Frances’s life will be held on Sunday, June 8, at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles, IL. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 PM. Following the service, all are welcome to join the family for a luncheon and drinks at The Office Dining & Spirits, beginning at 1:00 PM.
