April 9, 1926 - April 18, 2022

Frank Lustrea, at the age of 96, passed into eternity, hand in hand with his family at his side, on Monday, April 17, 2022. He was born to Jean Ardelene & Theodore Lustrea on April 9 1926 in Ford City (Windsor) Ontario, Canada. Frank moved to Romania for a time, then moved to the United States. In response to the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor (1941), Frank served his country in the Army Air Corp from 1944 to 46. Frank met Eleanor C. Lazar in church when they were both in grade school and were married on June 7, 1947. They were married for 68 years until death parted them in Eleanor’s passing on April 10th, 2014. Eleanor and Frank lived the majority of their lives together in Westchester, IL with son Robert and daughter Deborah. Frank served his Lord Jesus, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Chicago IL., as a long-time Deacon. Frank & Eleanor deeply loved their 4 Grandchildren; Thomas, Alanna, and Adam Pautsch, and John Lustrea. Frank’s 2 Great Granddaughters, Cora & Freya Paustch, always brought Him the fullest joy. The family is having a private service Thursday, April 21, 2022. The burial is at Elmwood Cemetery 2905 North Thatcher Road in River Grove, IL. at 12:30 pm. in  lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine (Donate to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine)Guest BookShareEmailPrint
