Frank C. Wilderspin Jr.

March 25, 1935 - May 17, 2025

Frank C. Wilderspin Jr, 90, of Elburn, formerly of St. Charles, died Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at Blackberry Pines Assisted Living in Elburn. He was born March 25, 1935 in St. Charles, IL. The son of the late Frank Sr and Bernice Wilderspin. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Susan (Robert) Kirkpatrick of Louisiana, a son, Richard Wilderspin of St. Charles, IL, a daughter Kathy (David) Brown of Buda, TX, a daughter, Kim Mikos of Elburn, IL, a daughter, Kristine Wilderspin-Gray of Sycamore, IL and seven grandchildren, Ashley (Anthony) Nicaj, Zachary (Amber) Wilderspin, Rebecca (Zac) Sagay, Evan (Emma) Mikos, Allie Mikos, Brock Gray and  Christie Kirkpatrick and three great- grandchildren and a brother Dale (Diane) Wilderspin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Wilderspin and his brother Larry Wilderspin.   Frank grew up in St. Charles, IL and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1953 where he was involved in choir and track. He married the love of his life, Betty Lou in 1959. Frank was admired for his strong work ethic and had several career experiences including working at St. Charles Kitchens and being an entrepreneur. He co-owned a clothing store in Batavia and was the franchise owner of the local White Hen Pantry for a decade. In his retirement years, he also worked part-time as a driver for the Holmstead in Batavia. Frank liked to stay busy and always found a new project to work on!  Frank was unconditionally devoted to his family and friends. He was a loving husband who cherished and protected his wife Betty Lou during their 65 years of marriage. Frank was an amazing father who always made his kids feel supported and loved. He enjoyed being a baseball coach and never wanted to miss any of the activities that his kids or grandkids were involved in. Frank always showed up for the people in his life and loved his family fiercely!  Frank had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed camping and fishing and working outside in the yard. Frank was also known for his storytelling skills and was always eager to share fun memories of the past. He especially enjoyed making others laugh with his witty sense of humor. Frank also loved Chicago sports especially the Chicago Cubs and was a devoted diehard Cubs fan all of his life!  Frank will be forever remembered for all of the joy and love he brought to his family and friends! His legacy lives on in all of the lives he touched, the lessons he taught us, and the stories he told us!  A celebration and remembrance of his life will be held for the family at a date to be determined later. Guest BookShareEmailPrint
