August 25, 1942 - February 16, 2021

Gary Alan Beck, 78, of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2021. The son of Robert Marion Beck and Mildred Dregney was born on August 25th, 1942, in Joliet, Illinois. Gary married his wife Jayne Glemza Beck, on November 14th, 1987, at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Charles, IL. Gary was very proud of and adored his two daughters, Jennifer Freeman and Katelyn Beck. Gary served in Vietnam from 1965-1966 in the 509th Engineer Company Panel Bridge for the United States Army. He was extremely proud of his service, attended annual reunions of the 509th and remained in close contact with those he served with, referring to them as “his brothers”. Gary worked for Dukane Corporation for 38 years where he met his wife, Jayne, and made countless lifelong friends. He was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan and was proud to be a stockholder and season ticket holder. Gary loved nothing more than making people laugh. He was well known for his quit-witted jokes, comedic stories, and could add humor to just about any situation. Gary had a very large circle of friends and family who will miss him dearly. Gary is survived by his wife Jayne Glemza Beck, his two daughters Jennifer (Jason) Freeman and Katelyn Beck, his three siblings Doug (Mary Ellen) Beck, Susie Frohling, and Elaine (Jim) Mullany, his brother-in-law Frank Anderson, and his sister-in-laws Terri Beck and Kay Beck, his mother-in-law Carol Glemza, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved canine companion, Charles A. Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mildred Beck, his brothers Robert and James Beck, his sisters Joan Koehler and Mary Deuchler, his borther-in-law Albert Frohling, and his stepmother Betty Heidkamp. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Veterans organization of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
