Glenn Robert Schuetz

Glenn Robert Schuetz Jr (Buzz), 71, Died Peacefully in Naperville on Thursday, June 18th after a 3 year battle with cancer. Buzz was born November 6th, 1948 in Lombard to Lillian Bauer Schuetz and Glenn Schuetz. He grew up in Western Springs and graduated with the Class of ‘66 at Lyons Township. He attended Eastern Illinois University, and then spent 3 years in the Army based in California. He worked in the food service business his whole career. He owned bartending schools in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Boston, and really enjoyed owning the Pinch Penny Pub in Printer’s Row in Chicago. After he sold the pub, he worked for Sysco foods until retirement. He is survived by a sister Gwen Zeiter (Bill), a brother Jeff Schuetz (Phyllis), and a sister-in-law Wendy Schuetz (Robbie). He loved his nieces, Kara Kendrick (Kevin), and Melissa Mahoney (Brian), and nephews Chris Zeiter (Teresa), Greg Schuetz, Daniel Schuetz (Karuna), Tyler Schuetz, and Andrew Schuetz. He greatly enjoyed any occasion spent with great-nieces Avery and Maizie, and great-nephews Will and Finn. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Phillip (Wendy). A Memorial will be held in September at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Elwood. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors in Buzz’s name. |
