Henriette Agnes
May 13, 1934 - July 5, 2022 Henriette Agnes age 88, of Geneva, Illinois formerly of St. Charles, Illinois passed away July 5, 2022. She was born in Rambrouch, Luxembourg on May 13, 1934. After the Nazi occupation, Henriette immigrated to the United States, becoming a United States citizen. She was a Realtor for 23 years before retiring and earned her certification as a Realtor Broker. She graduated from the GRI Realtor Institute and enjoyed working with people, especially high school seniors, teaching classes on what is involved in purchasing a home. Henriette enjoyed bowling and was a wonderful Bridge player. A proud achievement for Henriette is a published book entitled “Henriette” which is the story of her childhood living with her family in Europe during WW II. She and writer and friend Bruce Steinberg collaborated together to make this story come to life. She enjoyed friendship and family, including being “Grandmama” to her grandchildren and great grandson. She is survived by her daughter Josette (Allen) Finger, two grandchildren; Erin Finger, Quentin (Bethanie) Finger, great-grandson Odin Finger, and many nieces and nephews. Henriette was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert Agnes, her sister Therese Kraus, brothers Leon (Annie) Kraus, Charles “Petzi” (Josephine) Kraus, Louis Kraus, sisters Marie (Emile) Arnaud, and Mady Kraus. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M to 10:15 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL, 60174. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church 400 Cedar Street, St. Charles, IL 60174. Burial will be private. Contributions in Henriette’s memory may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
