Henry E. Ehmann, Jr.
November 21, 1930 - September 3, 2022 Henry E. Ehmann, Jr., 91, died Saturday, September 3, surrounded by his loving family. He was greatly loved by his wife, children, grandchildren and their families. The son of Henry and Victoria (Hengler) Ehmann, Hank was born on November 21, 1930, in Chicago. He was a graduate of Saint George High School. On November 26, 1955, he married Janet Augustine at St. Rita of Cascia Church in Chicago. They moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois to build their life and raise their family. For more than 60+ years, Hank was a favorite barber on Devon Avenue in northwest Chicago. In 2019, Hank and Janet moved to St. Charles, Illinois to be closer to family. Survived by his wife, Janet, daughters Celeste Ehmann Eichelberger and Caroline Ehmann, and son Gregory (Patricia) Ehmann; five grandchildren – Kyle (Lindsey) Eichelberger, Regan (Matt) Frazier, Riane (Chris) Pecenka, Kurt Ehmann and Mary Ehmann; six great-grandchildren – Camden and Callan Eichelberger, Gavin and Cora Frazier and Gracelyn and Gramercy Pecenka. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Mary) Ehmann and dear nieces and their families and sister-in-law, Lois Augustine Dixon. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Victoria Ehmann, and brother-in-law, Richard (Dick) Dixon. Visitation will be held at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, September 17 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, Illinois 60175. Funeral Mass will be immediately following at 10:30 A.M. Interment at St. Michael The Archangel Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
