March 28, 1957 - July 20, 2025 James “Jim” E. Smith, age 68, of St. Charles passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home. He was born March 28, 1957 in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Jim is survived by his sisters Janie and Chris (Don), brother Roy,and brothers and sisters-in-law, Rocco (Karen) Schumacher, John Schumacher, Pat Schumacher and Lucy (Carl) McFarland and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Vera, his wife, Madeline in 2024, his daughter, Julie Teresa Smith in 1999, his sister Barbara and his brother and sister-in-law, Leo Schumacher and Elizabeth Borey. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 23 rd at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles.
