James Joseph Kelly

James Joseph Kelly, Jr.,35, of St. Charles passed away suddenly at his home.  He was born July 27, 1985 in Elk Grove Village the son of James Joseph and Mary Jane (Kahler) Kelly.  He was united in marriage to Cristen Subora October 7, 2017 in Geneva, IL. 

He is survived by his wife Cristen, a sister Colleen (Kevin) Noe, and his paternal grandmother, Joan Kelly, many aunts, uncles, and cousins and his adored dogs Cooper and Foxie.   

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Kelly. 

Jimmy loved motorcycles, cars and anything with an engine that could be driven, ridden or piloted. He was an avid music lover and dabbled in playing both the guitar and drums. Jimmy will always be remembered for his sharp wit, one of a kind sense of humor, infectious laugh and selfless attitude towards all he cared for.

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home 100 South Third Street (Three blocks west of the Fox River One Block south of Route 64), St. Charles, IL.  A celebration of life with a time to share memories and stories will be conducted at 7:00 P.M.  A private interment will be held in Prairie Cemetery.       

With the slow re-opening of business due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the visitation will be limited. All visitors entering the funeral home are required to wear a face covering.  Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visitation a brief one in order that all who would like to attend will have a change to do so.  Once you have exited the funeral home, we ask you to depart immediately so there are no gatherings outside of our facility.  The family appreciates your sincere cooperation during these very challenging and different times.  For additional clarification, please contact the funeral home or family directly.
