Visitation

Final Rest

Jeffrey Scott “Briggs” Klotz passed from his family’s loving arms into the gentle care of the Lord, Sunday, January 12, 2020. He may have only lived for two months, but his life impacted hundreds. He was diagnosed prenatally with Pulmonary Atresia at only 20 weeks, surviving on only half a heart but that half was easily worth a dozen healthy ones. “Briggs” (nicknamed for the similarity of his heartbeat to that of the sound of a Briggs & Stratton single cylinder engine), made sure he not only made it to his birthday, October 24. 2019, but through Christmas, New Years, and refused to stop smiling, laughing or loving until his earthly struggles became a celestial release. Briggs may have had life encompassing challenges, including a surgery immediately after his birth, but he was lucky to be born to his loving, dedicated and incredibly strong parents, Jarred and Jessie Klotz, and also to Anniston, the “proudest big sister ever”. His body may have been weak, but his spirit had a quiet strength that defied expectations and made a home in every heart he touched. In two short months, Briggs made a mark on this world that will never be forgotten. Briggs left behind his loving parents, Jarred and Jessie Klotz; big sister Anniston; paternal grandparents: Greg and Renee Klotz; maternal grandmother, Laura Hickman; aunts and uncles: Tara (Adam) Prevost, Tyler (Allison) Klotz, Jeff (Bri) Hickman, James “Jim” (Andrea) Hickman; paternal great-grandpanarents: Dwight Klotz, Lester and Mary Hume; maternal great-grandparents: Pearl Fencl, Mike and Betty Hickman; and a community of heartbroken friends who will mourn the chance to see Jeffrey Scott “Briggs” Klotz’s dreams come true. He was welcomed into Heaven by his maternal grandfather, Jeff Hickman; paternal great-grandparents: Irene Klotz and Patricia Klotz; maternal great-grandparent Ron Fencl. Services to be posted at a later date.
