John Alexander Mueller
April 2, 1963 - April 27, 2026 John Alexander Mueller passed away on April 27, 2026, in Port Washington, Wisconsin. John was born on April 2, 1963, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, to John Bartholomew and June Marie Mueller. John was raised in West Chicago before buying his first home in Elburn, and spending time in Maple Park and Sycamore as well. He attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Grade School where he actively participated in both basketball and soccer before graduating in 1977. He graduated from West Chicago High School in 1981 and was an all-conference honorable mention football player for the Wildcats in 1980 & 1981. He was a contractor who owned his own construction business and loved working on machines and tinkering with and fixing things. John was the world’s greatest outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing, and driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved country western music; Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, and the Dixie Chicks were among his favorites. He was also very strong in his faith, attending mass regularly. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and June Mueller. He is survived by his siblings; Thomas Mueller (Melissa Solis), Jeanne (David) Turnquist, Brian Mueller, James (Karen) Mueller, and Janet (Bruno) Primas; nieces and nephews, Robbie, Thomas, Ashley, Alex, Neenah, Hayley, and Johnny. A visitation will be held for John on Friday, May 1st, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 E Main St. Funeral mass to follow on Saturday, May 2nd, at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 E Main St, St. Charles. Burial to immediately follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Hillside. A luncheon will be held after the burial at the Alpine Banquet House, 11141 Roosevelt Rd, in Westchester.
