John P. Yetter
August 4, 1971 - September 2, 2024 John Patrick (Jack) Yetter, 53, of St. Charles, died unexpectedly Monday, September 2, 2024, at the University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago. He was born August 4, 1971, in Park Ridge, IL, the son of the late Duane and Marilyn Yetter. Jack, an attorney, was employed by Northern Illinois University as the Director of Privacy. Jack had a lifelong commitment to the sport of swimming, beginning at age 5 and competing through college. After finishing his competitive career, Jack continued to give his time to the sport as a coach, official, and swim dad. Jack was an integral part of USA Swimming, Illinois Swimming, and St. Charles Aquatics. He is survived by his wife Julie and their two children, Sean and Molly; additionally, he is survived by his two sisters, Catherine Read and Ann Burns, and his brother Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jeffry. Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
