Blackmore Obituary Judith Carole Blackmore, (nee Yormark), age 79, but forever young at heart, passed into Eternal Life at Greenfield’s of Geneva on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, after a 5-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a long-time resident of South Holland, IL, Schererville, IN, and Sun City Center, FL. Born December 29, 1939, in Chicago, IL to David and Eleanor (Perski) Yormark. Married to Frank Blackmore on November 12, 1960, after meeting at People’s Gas Company in Chicago. Life is a paradise for those that love many things with passion, and Judie had a passion and zest for life itself. Judie will be remembered for her love of her faith, family, friends, singing, line dancing, golf, bowling, Zumba, movies, Broadway musicals, Disney tunes, Bingo, Peppermint Patties and Easter Peeps, to name just a few! Judie, aka “Red”, is survived by her loving spouse of 58 years, Frank Blackmore, who cared for her all through her illness. She is survived by her 5 children, Karyn (Eric) Witt of Chesterton, IN; Sandra (Kevin) True of St. Charles, IL; David Blackmore of St. Charles, IL; Brian (Lisa) Blackmore of Geneva, IL; and Scott (Dawn) Blackmore of Lockport, IL, along with 12 grandchildren who were the loves of her life –Dr. Keith (Lauren) True, Dr. Kelsey True (Dr. Chris Robinson), Kyle True, Maxwell Witt, Mason Witt, Lindsay Blackmore, Adam Blackmore, Sophie Blackmore, Nathan Blackmore, Henry Blackmore, Zac Blackmore, and Avery Blackmore. She was Grandma Great to Harrison and Sally True. Judie was preceded in death by her parents, David and Eleanor Yormark, sister Bonnie Perkovich, brother-in-law Ivan Perkovich, and brother-in-law Thomas Kremer. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 9:00 am – 10:30 am directly followed by a funeral mass with all events taking place at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL, 60175.
