Julia Ann Phillips

Julia Ann Phillips, 64, of Yorkville passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021.  She was born July 15, 1956 in Aurora the daughter of Frank and Ella (nee Houchins) Perna.  She was united in marriage to Kent Phillips October 30, 1976 in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia.

Julia’s high energy and loving spirit helped to build a successful family business, Sir Speedy Printing in Naperville, which has been in business for the past 35 years.  Family was most important to Julia and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed being in the outdoors especially boating or skiing.   

She is survived by her loving husband, Kent Phillips, two sons, Kyle (Katie) Phillips, Ryan Phillips; two grandchildren, Aubriella and Evalynn Phillips; her siblings, Kathy (Randy) Barkei, Jane Cherco, Stephen Perna, Matthew Perna, Christopher (Stephanie) Perna and Adam (Niki) Perna; and two sisters-in-law, Debbie (Michael) Sampiller, and Terri Crowther, and many nieces and nephews.   

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Kari Perna, sisters-in-law, Wendy Perna and Leah Perna, a brother-in-law Larry Cherco and a niece Alyssa Perna. 

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 

Funeral services will begin with prayers 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 15, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home before processing Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia to Celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.  Interment will follow in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
