Laura Rene Basic Willing, 58 1/9/1963-9/10/2021 Celebration of Life Open House to be held June 4, 2022 1-4pm at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles, IL. Laura was an amazing person, full of life,sweetness, and beauty both inside and out. She touched so many people with her genuine personality, lovely smile, and gentle kindness. She fought a courageous 3-year battle with breast cancer, with the help of many including the amazing nurses and staff at the NW Medicine Cancer Center. She passed away surrounded by loved ones, in person and in spirit, who continue to honor her life by living their lives to the fullest. Laura grew up west of St. Charles, in Campton Township. She attended Wasco Grade School, Avery Coonley School, Benet Academy, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University. The simple pleasures of life brought joy to Laura, including spending time with friends and family, lounging in the mini pool, road trips in the Jeep, attending the family’s 2Way to St. Patty’s Day (Sept) party, playing bags & Farkle, traveling to Marco Island to hang out on the beach, stopping in at Snook Inn to watch the dolphins go by, or just hanging out in her backyard. Laura is survived by her daughter Tara Willing (dad Todd Willing), her partner Kevin Davis, her father John N. Basic Sr, brother John (Cathy) Basic, sisters Cathe (Michael)Ostrowski, Sally Basic Cruger, Margaret (Jerry Noti) Basic, Kerry (Kevin) Butler, and many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Marijo Coleman Basic, and her sister Manda. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held June 4, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E.
