Luzviminda De Mesa Obituary Luzviminda R. De Mesa, age 84, of Batavia, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 26, 1942, in Castillejos, Zambales in the Philippines, the daughter of Emilio and Lolita (Lambampa) Raymundo. Lola Mestisa was the heart of our family.  She’s spent her life caring not only for her children and grandchildren, but also for relatives and loved ones who needed her.  She found joy in the simple things - playing bingo, watching concerts, cooking, sharing stories, and talking with family and friends.  She loved being surrounded by people, especially those she loved. Mom, maraming salamat po for all the unconditional love, sacrifices and the care that you gave our family.  You took care of us for so many years; now it is your time to rest.  We will miss your voice, your stories, and your presence but your love will remain in our hearts forever. Mahal na mahal ka namin, Mom.  Rest in peace. With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved Luzviminda “Lola Mestisa”.  She is survived by her sons Allan (LoveJoy) of Batavia and Rene (Lyn); grandchildren Michael, Kristoffer (Oksana), Krystal, Roxanne, Kimberly, Bryan, Juan Miguel, Tiffany, Isabel, and Seth; great grandchildren Shanelle, Cedric, and Churby De Mesa; siblings Ofelia Camantigue and Lerma (Jaime) De Mesa, Henry (Jean) and Zaldy (Grace) Raymundo, Melissa (Alex) Manzano; and mothers of her grandchildren Josephine and Teresa. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Diego and Conde Raymundo, and beloved husband Domingo. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street, Geneva, Illinois from to 2:00 pm up until the time of her funeral service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be held at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery in Highland Park, Illinois on Tuesday, August 18 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
