Marilyn Bernice Laydon
October 14, 1935 - December 18, 2021 Marilyn Bernice Laydon, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 18, surrounded by her loving family. She was greatly loved by her husband, children, grandchildren and their families. The daughter of James Roland Montgomery and Bernice Cassel, Marilyn was born on Oct. 14, 1935 in Milwaukee. On Feb. 23, 1955, she married her first husband Klaus Ruege. On Nov. 7, 1987, she married her late husband Leslie “Jack” Laydon. Survived by children Michael Ruege (Glenda), Michele Haske (Richard), and Matthew Ruege (Jennifer); eight grandchildren – Ryan, Brandon, Nicole, Kristina, Sebastian, Annabelle, Ella and Alexa; one great-granddaughter, Finley, and dear nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband Klaus, late husband Jack, sisters Jane and Patty, and brother James. A visitation will be held at 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 28th at Hosanna! Lutheran Church, 36W925 Red Gate Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175, with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 A.M. Donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to Hosanna!
