Mary Lencioni Pearson
May 30, 1948 - July 1, 2025 Mary Lencioni Pearson lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on July 1, 2025. She was born on May 30, 1948, and grew up in Saint Charles, Illinois. She attended Saint Patrick’s Church and School and graduated from Saint Charles High School in 1966. In 1968, she married her high school sweetheart, John Eric Pearson. The couple made their home in St. Charles, IL, until they became part-time residents of Florida in 2007, eventually moving there full-time in 2020. Mary was the daughter of Vasco and Germaine Lencioni, owners of the beloved Blue Goose Supermarket in Saint Charles. She became Vice President of the store in the early 1990s when her parents retired. Blue Goose shoppers will remember Mary’s warmth and the personal connection she brought to their visits, making every trip to the store feel special. Mary had a deep love for sunshine, the beach, and golf, especially when shared with her cherished group of girlfriends. She remained close with her high school classmates, fondly known as The Chicks of ’66. Her friendships were a vital part of her life, and there wasn’t a day that passed without her reaching out to at least one of “her people.” Above all, Mary was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud “Grandy” to her grandchildren. Her presence brought joy, humor, and light to her family and to all who knew her. Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Eric Pearson; her daughter, Cassandra Pearson; her son, Joshua Pearson (Jessica); and her four treasured grandchildren: Theo, Calvin, August, and Erik. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17 from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 PM at Riverside Receptions in Geneva, IL. Please stop by to share a story or memory of Mary that brings a smile—just as she so often brought smiles to others.
