Michael D. Acklin Obituary Michael D. Acklin, age 75, of Geneva, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, with his loving family by his side. He was born February 12, 1951, in Chicago, the son of the late Dean and Dorothy (Pech) Acklin. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years Karen (Moore); daughters Shaya (Chauncey II) Felix of Mississippi, and Sophia and Eve of Geneva, Illinois; granddaughter Zykyria Kendrick; siblings Kathy Lodewegen (late Richard) of Manteno, Susan (Richard) Wilson of Oak Brook, Mark (Sharon) of Mokena, Thomas (late Holly) of Orland Park, and Carol (Richard) Stern of Grand Junction, Colorado; and many other dear relatives and friends. Michael was a man of many talents who enjoyed music, art, and design. His creativity was prevalent in all aspects of his life. Whether it was in his career or at home, he found ways to showcase his many talents. Michael was a devoted family man to his wife and children, and he had close relationships with all his siblings. After four years in the Marines, Michael had a career in audio recording and production. Michael eventually earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design at age 43. He then went on to create web development company Xeno Media with his wife, Karen, and business partner, Kevin, and became a successful business owner of 26 years. Michael enjoyed a happy life in Geneva with his wife, Karen, of 25 years, and his two daughters, Sophia and Eve. Michael also maintained a close relationship with his first daughter, Shaya, who lives in Biloxi, Mississippi, with his granddaughter, Zykyria. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 2:30 pm until the time of his memorial service at 4:30 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.
