Pamela "Pam" (Bahuis) Knickrehm August 19, 1945 ~ February 24, 2025 (age 79) 79 Years Old
Pamela "Pam" Knickrehm Obituary Pamela D. “Pam” Knickrehm, age 79, of Carol Stream, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 19, 1945, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Adeline (Reitz) Bolhuis. Pam, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, is celebrated for a life filled with love, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Though she is still with us, we take a moment to honor the incredible impact she has had on those who know and love her. A devoted mother to Scott and Cindy, she has been a source of unwavering support and wisdom, always offering a listening ear and a warm embrace. Her greatest joy has been watching her family grow, and she treasures the time spent with her beloved grandchildren: Kailey, Jessica, Jimmy, Amelia, Dominic, and Nicholas.  Each of them carries a piece of her heart, as she has showered them with endless love, laughter, and guidance. In addition to her love for family, Pam built a successful career as a travel agent, helping others explore the world and plan their dream vacations. She also had a deep passion for crafting and anything artistic, always finding joy in creating something beautiful with her hands. Whether she was painting, making jewelry, or working on a new project, her creativity was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy is one of compassion, strength, and pure fun—a woman who has touched countless lives with her kindness, laughter, and fun-loving spirit. As her family and friends continue to cherish the moments they share with her, they remain grateful for her presence, her love, and the memories they continue to create together. May we take this time not to mourn but to celebrate a life still being beautifully lived, filled with love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children Scott (Kristen) Cimino of Libertyville and Cynthia (Brian) Stolfe of Geneva; grandchildren Kailey, Jessica, James, Amelia, Nicholas, and Dominic; the father of her children Anthony (Marcella) Cimino of Bloomingdale; Fred’s children Gregory (Denise) of Florida, Keith (Tamie) of Streamwood, Jeffrey (Jenny) of Crystal Lake, and Lyle (Stacey) of Florida; as well as Fred’s grandchildren; siblings Denise (Ed) Sarsfield, Darlene Shimkus, William (Mary) Gausselin, and Lynnell Wheat; and many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Knickrehm, siblings Betty Bunge, Margaret Raiman, Kenneth Bolhuis, Michael Guasselin, and Guy Guasselin; and her parents. Visitation will held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the time of her memorial service at 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva. Internment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692 would be appreciated.
